My Name is Taylor Rich I have been in the hair industry for 7 years. I spent the last two years of high school going to hair school by the time i was 17 years old i had graduated high school with my hair license and was able to start in the hair industry. I knew that i wanted to learn more and that there was a lot more education i wanted to be involved in before i became a hair designer in the industry. I starting searching for intern jobs and quickly found an amazing job that was exactly what i was looking for. I spent two years interning a hair stylist in scottsdale trying to take in all of the information and learn. I wouldn't be where i am today without that interning experience. Following interning i knew i was ready to take the step of becoming a hair designer. I starting working at a salon in Chandler and quickly started to meet so many fun and sweet clients and started to build my clientele. Just short of a year of working at that salon i decided that i wanted to start my own business, it was so scary but so rewarding. My Brand name "The Taylor Styles" was born. I found a salon in gilbert that i loved and that would be best for my growth through that chapter in my career. I teamed up with Made With Love, a local company out of gilbert to continue building my name in the industry and to build my clientele. I set up Braid bars at Made With Love for over a year, over that year i was able to not only build a entire clientele, hired an assistant (for those of you that don't know her name is chandler and she is my second cousin) and was able to close my books off. I knew i was ready for my next adventure , i wanted to build a salon that had space for me and also Chandler. I spent hours on hours searching for spaces that perfectly encompassed my vision. I found Sims Salons Luxury Suites in November of 2019 and knew it was the perfect fit. I am one of 11 lucky business owner to be in Sims Salon Luxury Suites. Coming up with a name for my salon was SO hard. Me and Chandler went back and forth with idea and found one name that we LOVED, Kalon. Kalon is a greek word that means "beauty more than skin deep" , fun fact i have had "Kalon" tattooed on me for 3 years previous to creating Kalon Hair Co. I loved the idea of naming the salon Kalon, my goal of the salon was intended to make people feel beautiful, not only by doing their hair but feeling special and beautiful from the moment they stepped into my salon, to the moment they stepped out. That is my story thus far, I am so excited to meet you and thank you for being apart of my journey, it means the world to me i wouldn't be where i am today without my clients.
